Just occurred to me that people looking at my site might not fully comprehend who Abraham is, or Abe, or Abraham-Hicks, so for now, here is my best explanation:
Abraham is the name (self-chosen I understand) given to a collective of spiritual teachers who express themselves through a lady called Esther Hicks. She is what is called a “voice channel”. That means she receives blocks of thought from the non-physical teachers and is able to merge these with her own vocabulary, style of communication and her voice to give us the messages.
She is a very chilled out, fun and appreciative lady, whose husband Jerry purports to be one of the most inquisitive people who ever lived. So between Esther’s “allowing” nature, Jerry’s curiosity and questions (and vast business experience) and the purest, most profound and enlightening intelligence (in my view) the planet has ever experienced they are Abraham-Hicks. They have been travelling (usually by road), up and down the US and sometimes in other parts of the world, delivering their message, answering people questions in seminars for over 24 years. They published a best-selling book called “Ask and it is Given” in 2005 and have since had many publications and DVDs of the workshop material.
Ever since the release of a movie called The Secret in 2006 the global interest in their teachings has been enormous. The Secret is a dvd documentary based on the teachings of Abraham, which has greatly catapulted their message across the globe.
